June through early July is one of our favorite times of the year offering great weather and 24 hours of sunlight! This adventure bundle is one of our most popular trip specials we offer each season as it bundles many incredible experiences including southcentral Alaska's finest wade fishing for native rainbow trout and grayling, superb top-water fishing for northern pike in a nearby lake chain, all the spoils of our deluxe wilderness lodge, fine cuisine, fireside shore lunches and a fly-out 5 mile raft trip with fishing included as part of the trip package! This package is one of a kind and is all inclusive from Anchorage including an awesome round-trip float plane flight. We include all fishing gear and your personal guides will offer top-notch instruction. Wilderness Place Lodge is a highly reviewed all-inclusive fishing lodge with deluxe private cabins with bath, a gorgeous log lodge, a courteous staff of 20 that hosts an average number of 15 guests.

Example Itinerary (4-night package): For those booking prior to December 25, 2023, we will include complimentary hotel stay for the night prior to the beginning of your off-grid adventure package!

  • Day 1: Depart Anchorage @ 10:30am by float plane. Arrive at Wilderness Place Lodge for noon lunch prepared by our chef team. Spend the afternoon fishing on the river with your personal guide. We target trout, grayling, pike or salmon depending upon dates and availability. Enjoy a 4-course dinner in the lodge provided by our professional chef team inclusive of local beer and wine. Overnight in one of our modern deluxe riverside cabins.
  • Day 2: A full flexible day of fishing on the river or nearby lake chain. Plan your day to your preferences with your guide. Option of breakfast/Lunch in the Lodge or on the river. 6:30pm 4-course dinner in the main lodge. Overnight in your private cabins.
  • Day 3: Breakfast and guided morning fishing on the river near the lodge. Return to the lodge in time for your 11am float plane flight to the Pioneer Cabin Outpost cabin. Enjoy some time to enjoy lunch, recreate and reflect at the lake prior to hiking ¼ mile to the river. Your guide will inflate your raft followed by an afternoon 6-mile float/fishing trip back down to the main lodge. Arrive prior to 6:30pm dinner service.
  • Day 4: Optional AM fishing. Depart the lodge @ 11:45am with return to Anchorage approximately 1pm. Upon arrival to Anchorage. Your Alaska Helicopter Tours shuttle will shuttle you to the Alaska Glacier Lodge, a scenic hour’s drive North of Anchorage. Arrive in time for your 4:30pm Helicopter/Glacier Tour: “Glacier Landing with optional Dogsled Experience.” Check in to your private guest cabin @ Alaska Glacier Lodge  Following your glacier tour, enjoy dinner at the scenic Raven’s Perch Restaurant (meal is included in the package). Beverages of your choice will be additional.
  • • Day 5: Enjoy a leisurely morning and complimentary breakfast in the lodge restaurant. Check out from the Alaska Glacier Lodge is 11am and depart shortly thereafter via shuttle back to Anchorage with arrival mid-afternoon. This concludes your tour.

Enjoy this unique fly-in Wilderness Lodge experience! For couples that have a day or two to kill in Anchorage and want to 'get out of the city', this is the ideal getaway. The convenience of the lodge with proximity to Anchorage allows for an easy overnight trip, yet still is remote and surrounded by expansive Alaskan wilderness. Although just 24 hours, experience a full itinerary of guided fishing, fly fishing instruction, hiking, wildlife, photo ops, fine dining, libations, R&R and a deluxe private cabin all capped off with a scenic float plane trip from Anchorage and back.

Enjoy this unique fly-in Wilderness Place Lodge experience! Start your trip with a scenic float plane flight over the Susitna River Valley with views of Denali and surrounding mountains. Arrive at the lodge for a sit-down lunch followed by a guided afternoon on our clear-water river featuring an optional fly fishing lesson for trout and/or salmon. Return to the lodge for hors d’oeuvres and complimentary wine or Alaska micro-brews. Our chef team of 3 prepares a gourmet 4-course meal including the finest Northwest cuisine. Enjoy a blissful sleep in your private deluxe cabin featuring brand-new memory foam mattresses! The following morning you have the option of sleeping in and enjoying our breakfast service in the lodge, or rise early and hit the water for a full morning of fishing. Departure flight back to Anchorage leaves the lodge by float plane at approximately 12pm.

Therefore, we decided to bundle some of our favorite experiences all into one tight-knit all-inclusive, “one-of-a-kind” package!

Summer Solstice Grand Adventure Bundle in a nutshell:

  • Day 1: The day prior to your adventure, arrive in Anchorage and we'll put you up for the night at our partner hotel, complimentary!
  • Day 2: Depart Anchorage @ 10:30am by float plane, arrive at Wilderness Place Lodge for noon lunch prepared by our chef team. Spend the afternoon fishing on the river with your personal guide. We target trout, grayling, pike or salmon depending upon dates and availability. Enjoy a 4-course dinner in the lodge provided by our professional chef team inclusive of local beer and wine. Overnight in one of our modern deluxe riverside cabins.
  • Day 3: A full day of guided fishing, fly fishing instruction, etc. Take a side trip by boat to a chain of lakes to fish northern pike and/or stay on the river to target trout, grayling, salmon etc. Enjoy a shore lunch prepared by your guide. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
  • Day 4: Optional morning fishing. Depart the lodge @ 11:45am with return to Anchorage approximately 1pm. At 2:20 pm you will meet your shuttle to the Alaska Glacier Lodge near Palmer, Alaska. Arrive approximately 4:00pm in time for your 4:30pm helicopter glacier and dogsled adventure! The dogsled experience includes 30 minutes of glacier and mountain tours by helicopter plus glacier landing and 1 hour of guided dog-sledding. Following your tour, check in to your private cabin for the night and enjoy mountain-view dining at the Raven's Perch Restaurant on us!
  • Day 5: Complimentary Breakfast at the Raven’s Perch Restaurant. Depart at 10:15 AM by helicopter for a thrilling 1 hour glacier landing experience! Alaska Glacier Lodge Cabin check out is 11am with transfer back to Anchorage via shuttle at 12pm* (*Renting a car vs. taking the shuttle to/from Alaska Glacier Lodge will give you more flexibility. If you prefer to rent a car vs. utilize the shuttle service, we will deduct $100/person from your total trip price to be used towards your rental.) Return to your Anchorage Hotel mid-afternoon and check in for the night, included in the trip package.
  • Day 6: Bear-Viewing & Coastal Flight-seeing experience! Rust’s Flying Service will pick you up at your hotel approximately 7:30am prior to your 8am departure by float plane to the scenic Chitina Bay where you will spend the day sight-seeing and bear-viewing with awesome photo opportunities. This included guided tour with safe bear-viewing in their natural habitat and round-trip flight from Anchorage. Return to Anchorage at 2:00pm. This concludes our tour. Choose to continue your stay in Anchorage or elsewhere or depart Anchorage international airport no earlier than 5pm.
